| New Titles: |
| Any dog or bitch that has received an AKC, NCA or
Foreign title between Jan1 and Dec 31, 1997. Owner must complete the
Awards Application Form and also provide verification of the title. Verification
should be a photocopy of the actual title certificate. |
| Top Show Dog: |
| This award is presented to the Top Show Dog based
on the number of dogs/bitches defeated. Points are tabulated from Winners
Dog, Winners Bitch, Best of Winners or Best of Breed wins at AKC linensed
shows. The owner must complete the Awards Application Form and provide
the names of shows, dates of these shows and number of dogs defeated
at these shows. The Awards Committee may verify this information. |
| Top Obedience Dog: |
| This award is presented to the dog with the highest
score, based on the average of the dogs top three passing scores, earned
at AKC Obedience Trials. The owner must complete the Awards Application
Form and provide the names of the Obedience Trials, date of these trials,
and the scores received. The Awards Committee may verify this information. |
| Top Working Dog: |
| This award is presented to the dog earning the most
working titles in the previous year. This will only be awarded for two
or more titles earned in two or more areas (i.e. Tracking, drafting,
water). A re-qualification will count 1/2 point. The owner
must complete the awards Application form and provide photocopies of
all titles earned. The Awards Committee may verify this information. |
| Special Awards : |
| Versatile Newfoundland : |
| A special plaque is given for those dogs earning
the Versatile Newfoundland title. Attach photocopies of all titles earned. |
| Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog, or
Temperment Test: |
| A certificate is awarded for dogs passing one of
these tests. Attach a photocopy of the test certificate. |
| Additional Qualifiers : |
| The owner must have been a member of RKNC for the
entire period. |
| Dogs that are co-owned by a member must have been
co-owned at the time the title was earned, and must reside with the RKNC
member for the entire period. |
| The dog must be a pure-breed Newfoundland with an
AKC or IPL number. |
| Proof of ownership or registration may be required. |
