River King Newfoundland Club Awards for 2010

• The owner must have been a regular member of RKNC for the entire period to receive a plaque and the title plates.
• Owners who are associate or honorary members of the club will receive a certificate of recognition.
• Dogs that are co-owned by a member must have been co-owned at the time the title was earned, and must reside with the RKNC member for the entire period.
• The dog must be a pure-bred Newfoundland with an AKC or IPL number.
• Proof of ownership or registration may be required.

New Titles:

To qualify, any dog or bitch must have received an AKC or NCA title between Jan. 1 and Dec 31, 2010.

• The owner must complete the Awards Application Form and also provide verification of the title. Verification should be a photocopy/scan of the actual title certificate.

Top Show Dog:

This award is presented to the Top Show Dog based on the number of dogs/bitches defeated. Points are tabulated from Best of Breed wins at AKC licensed shows this calendar year.

• The owner must complete the Awards Application Form and provide the name and date of the shows, and the number of dogs defeated at each of these shows during this calendar year. The Awards Committee may verify this information.
• The club will award a certificate to any dog that has received a group placement during this past year.

Top Obedience Dog / Top Rally Dog / Top Agility Dog:

These awards are presented to the dog with the highest average of the three top scores of any obedience, rally or agility level, earned at AKC Trials. Scores need not be earned in the same calendar year, but must be for the same title and the title must have been completed in this calendar year. On any title that requires more than one qualifying score in a single day, to earn a leg toward that title (UDX RAE etc.), an average of both scores must be used as a single qualifying score.

• The owner must complete the Awards Application Form and provide the name of the Obedience, Rally or Agility Trial, date, and the scores received at each of these trials. The Awards Committee may verify this information.

Top Working Dog:

This award is presented to the dog earning the most working titles in the calendar year. This will only be awarded for two or more titles earned in two or more areas (i.e. draft, water, tracking). A new title will earn 3 points and a re-qualification will earn 1 point.

• The owner must complete the Awards Application Form and provide photocopies/scans of the Certificates for the titles earned. The Awards Committee may verify this information.

SPECIAL AWARDS

Versatile Newfoundland:

A special plaque is given for those dogs earning the Versatile Newfoundland title.

• The owner must complete the Awards Application Form and provide photocopies/scans of all titles earned.

Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog, or Temperment Test:

A certificate is awarded for dogs passing one of these tests.

• The owner must complete the Awards Application Form and provide a photocopy/scan of the test certificate.
